Bio
Dumas - Gertie Clark Robinson, 91, died Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2003, in Amarillo. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Eddie Tubbs, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in Shamrock Cemetery in Shamrock by Morrison Funeral Directors. Mrs. Robinson was born Oct. 10, 1911, in Wellington. She had been a Dumas resident since 1951. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Dumas. She was a member of Rebekah Lodge in Dumas. She retired in 1976 from JC Penney as a sales clerk. She was well known for making custom drapes in the Dumas area. She married Ernest Glenn Robinson on Dec. 24, 1936, in Collingsworth County. She was preceded in death by her husband on April 21, 1971, and a son, Clinton Keys. Survivors include three sons, Ronald Robinson of Boerne, Donnie Robinson of Amarillo and Connie Robinson of Dumas; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Craig Methodist Windflower Nursing Center, 5500 W. Ninth Ave., Amarillo, TX 79106; or Crown of Texas hospice 1000 S. Jefferson St., Amarillo, TX 79101.
