Funeral services for Mrs. Lila B. Williams, 69, were conducted Wednesday, November 22, at 2:30 p.m. in Shamrock Church of Christ, with Minister James Douglas, assisted by the Rev. Murle Rogers, pastor of Shamrock First Baptist Church, officiating. Mrs. Williams, who was born November 4, 1903, in Collingsworth County, died at 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 20, in Golden Spread Nursing Center where she had resided for a number of months. Interment was in Shamrock Cemetery with Clay Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were Bryce Clay, C.D. Clay, Billy L. Clay, Valta Tarbet, Vernon Tarbet and Ace Henderson. Miss Lila Beatrice Clark was married to Albert Newton Williams on December 21, 1921, in Wellington. He preceded her in death on October 3, 1956. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include two sons: J.C. Williams of Canadian and Carrol Williams of Shamrock; a daughter Mrs. Dixie Conner of Cahokia, Illinois; seven grandchildren and one great grandson; three sisters: Mrs. Tom Robinson of Sudan, New Mexico; Mrs. Gertie Robinson of Dumas; Mrs. Julia Massey of Shamrock; five brothers: Jack, W.D., Jim and David Clark, all of Shamrock; and Nig Clark of Wheeler; nieces and nephews.
