Frances died Monday, June 4, 2012 at her home in Columbus. Frances Catherine Blahak was born August 22, 1921 in Columbus, Nebraska to John and Mary (Knopik) Schefcick. She attended Kramer High School in Columbus and moved to Omaha shortly after high school. Frances married Harry Blahak, Sr. on November 3, 1942 in Omaha, Nebraska. She also lived in San Francisco, California before returning to Columbus. She worked at Becton-Dickinson and retired after 24 years. She was a life-long member of St. Bonaventure Church. She was also a member of Fireman's Auxiliary and the Becton-Dickinson Alumni Association. She is survived by: Daughter: Cheryl A. (Charles) Fleeman of Columbus, NE Daughter: DeEtte M. (Gary) Krumland of Columbus, NE Son: Steven J. Blahak of Columbus, NE Son: Robert A. Blahak and special friend Deb Bridges of Columbus, NE Son: Harry L. (Sylvia) Blahak of Fontana, CA 20 Grandchildren 24 Great Grandchildren She was preceded in death by: Husband: Harry Blahak, Sr. Parents: John and Mary Schefcick Brothers: Pete, Frank, Steve, Joe and John Schefcick Sisters: Vera, Helen, Nellie and Josie
