Steven J. Blahak, 63, of Columbus, Nebraska, died Thursday, February 8, 2024, at his home in Columbus. The funeral service will be held on Friday, February 16, at 10:30 AM, at Gass Haney Funeral Home. Those attending the service are asked to dress in sports casual wear. Visitation will be from 9:30 AM until service time on Friday. Private family interment at a later date. The family will be gathering at the Eagles Club after the service at the funeral home. Steven J. Blahak was born June 11, 1960, in Columbus, Nebraska, to Harry Sr. and Frances (Schefcick) Blahak. He graduated from Columbus High School and went to work at D & L (Camaco) for over 38 years. Steve also worked weekends at S.O.S. for over 20 years. He was united in marriage to Carol Stearns and later to Tami Davis. Steven enjoyed going fishing, playing pool, golfing, bowling, target shooting, hunting, and going to the casino. He was a Nebraska Huskers fan and a Minnesota Viking fan. Of all his interest, spending time with family brought him the most joy.
