Bio

Frances Elizabeth's first husband was James Henry Stuckey, born 1833 in Georgia and died in1863 in the Civil War. Around 1868, Frances Elizabeth, now a widow with two small children in Marion County, AL, married David Blalock Webb, a widower with five children from the same county. They soon moved on to Itawamba County, Mississippi. Having all his resources converted to Confederate money, all were worthless. After hearing rumors and remarkable stories of cotton growing in Texas, David and Frances Elizabeth moved their family from the Tom Bigbee River in Mississippi to Texas in 1872. They settled in the Pleasant Grove Community some 10 miles east of Crockett. Source: Butch Arnold
