Bio

Roberta Gladys (Maxson) Molzer, 85, of Crete died Thursday, August 15, 2002. She was born September 28, 1916 in Gentry, Arkansas to Nathan and Daisy (Biggs) Maxson. She was baptized at the Seventh Day Baptist Church in North Loup, Nebraska in June of 1929 by Pastor Warren. She was confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church in Kramer on March 23, 1947 by Pastor Pebler. On August 9, 1942 she married Emil Molzer in North Loup with Pastor Eret officiating. Roberta was a member of the Kramer Extension Club, was active in 4-H and was a member of St. John's Ladies Aid, J.O.Y. Group and a Cell Group at the church. She is survived by daughter-in-law, Neva Molzer of Imperial; grandson, Brian Molzer of Fort Collins, Colorado; granddaughters and spouses, Lisa and Brad Kinnan of Kearney; Linda and Michael Nelson of Enders; step-great-granddaughter, Lauren Kinnan of Lincoln; brother, Ray Maxson of Redondo Beach, California; sisters-in-law, Zelda Molzer of Plymouth; Luella Molzer of Holdrege; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Emil Molzer on April 15, 1995; son, Marvin Moltzer; brothers, Herman, Lester, and Roy; and sister, Rena Hoffman. Funeral services were August 19 at St. John Lutheran Church in Kramer with Pastor John Heckmann officiating. Organist was Gloria Pospisil. Interment was at Lincoln Memorial Park. Kuncl Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were Kenneth Molzer, Jerome Kalkwarf, Lamar Schmidt, Robert Hoffman, Fonald Hoffman, and David Hoffman. Source: The Crete News,
