From the Allison Tribune December 4, 1986 RAY C. WEILAND Ray C. Weiland, age 84, of Colonial Manors of La Porte City, Iowa, died Monday, December 1 at Colonial Manors. There will be a memorial service Thursday December 4 at 11 A.M. at St. James Lutheran church, Allison. Rev. Bruce Ulstad will conduct the service. The body will be cremated with burial in Allison Cemetery. Ray C. Weiland was born September 21, 1902 in Clara City, Minnesota to Siebe and Stientje Goldenstein Weiland. He married Geraldine Bauman November 15, 1930 in Waverly, Iowa. He farmed until 1965 in the Shell Rock and Allison area. Ray is survived by two daughters, Carol Elliott of La Porte City and Janola D'Alosio of Providence, Rhode Island; three sisters, Hattie Henrichs of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Grace Duffield of Bristow, Iowa, and Lilly DeBower of Waverly, Iowa; and four grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, 3 brothers and 1 sister. Huisman Funeral Home of La Porte City was in charge of arrangements.
