Wanda L. Howard (1935 - 2012) Wanda L. Howard, 77, passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2012. Funeral: 11:30 a.m. Tuesday in Mount Olivet Chapel. Interment: Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home. Wanda was born March 16, 1935, in Ellis County, to Betty and Homer Compton. She worked as a grocery store manager for Big H Supermarket. Wanda liked to quilt and loved fishing. She was a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Howard; parents; three sisters, Bonnie Davis, Myrle Dawson and Betty Robinson; two brothers, Junior Compton, Billy Compton; and granddaughter, Candice Edwards. Survivors: Daughters, Glenda Curlee, Brenda Cox, Sandra Brown, Pamela Edwards; sons, Ronny Rhoades, Rickey Rhoades, Randy Rhoades; 20 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Ludean Green; and brothers, Eugene Compton, Robert Compton, Doyle Compton and Herman Compton.
