Joe M. Grellhesl, age 85, of West, passed away Saturday morning, March 27, 1993 in West Rest Haven. Rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. Monday in St. Martin’s Catholic Church in Tours. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Martin’s Catholic Church in Tours, with Rev. Isidore Rozycki as celebrant. Burial followed in St. Martin’s Cemetery near Tours. Mr. Grellhesl was born March 2, 1908 in Tours and had lived in the area all of his life. He was a member of St. Martin’s Catholic Church in Tours and was a retired farmer. He married Elizabeth M. Uptmore, December 27, 1932 at Tours. Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth of West; one son, Joe A. Grellhesl of West; one daughter, Mrs. Billy (Clara) Sparks of Penelope; one brother, Adolph (Bud) Grellhesl of West; two sisters, Mrs. Josie Kucera and Mrs. Johnny (Ella) Schroeder, both of West; three granddaughters and two great-grandsons. Pallbearers were William Grellhesl, Kenneth Uptmor, Gene Sulak, Tommy Hennig, Alfred Sulak and Benjamin Uptmor. Kotch Funeral Home in West was in charge of arrangements.
