Bio

Callie, born to John William Turman and Sallie Sikes, was one child out of four. Callie married Alice O. Butler, then had one child. The Bonham Daily Favorite Bonham, Texas Friday, 11 Dec 1959, Page 6 Collie Turman Dies; Rites Saturday Collie A. Turman, 60, died at his home, 505 East 10th street, at 11 o'clock Thursday, Dec. 10, 1959, following a short illness. He had been employed at a local service station. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p. m. Saturday at Wise Funeral Home chapel. Interment will be in the Philadelphia cemetery. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Alice Turman, of the home address, a daughter, Mrs. Gladys Ruth Leath of Bonham; a brother, Roy Turman of Gober; two half brothers, Eura Turman of Gober and Ira Turman of Dallas and two grandchildren. A native of fannin county, Mr. Turman was born at Gober Dec. 7, 1899. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Turman.
