DEATH COMES TO MR. C. B. SNODDY, CIVIL WAR VETERAN Mr. C. B. Snoddy died at his home in the Merry Oaks country on May 16th at the age of 83 years. He was a Federal soldier in the Civil War, and had been drawing a pension for many years. His wife, the second, survives him, with the following children: Thomas Snoddy and Mrs. Charles Bridges, by his 1st wife; Herland [sic] Snoddy, Mrs. Frederick Miles and Mrs. Totty, all of the Merry Oaks section, and Renny Snoddy of Cave City. Burial was in the Hays burying ground on the following day with Masonic honors, in the presence of a large concourse of sorrowing relatives and friends.
