BOOK---Tidds of Ohio by Howard H Tidd; Pg-122 Lists Ralph Martin Tidd (1878-xx). He did his Pre-Med training at Oberlin College & continued his study at AnnArbor MI; then Rush School of Medicine in Chicago IL from which he got his degree. He joined his father in practice in Clarksville. He married Anetta Whetson who was a nurse & had 2 children. PA--Sharon Herald....12 Mar 1936 DR RALPH M TIDD--59: Residents of Clarksvl & many others in Mercer Cnty who knew him as a capable physician & a fine gentleman are deeply grieved by the sudden death of Ralph M Tidd which occurred yesterday while he was making his calls. DrTidd had practiced his pro-fession at Clarksville for more than 30 years, serving the borough & the adjacent rural district. He always was ready to answer a call from a family in need of his service, no matter what the hour, weather or distance from his home. He endeared himself to an everincreas-ing number of friends & brought a great measure of credit to his profession. That he was held in high esteem by other physicians of the county is evidence by his election to the presidency of the Mercer County Medical Soc, an office which he held at the time of his death. Clarksville & the medical profession both have suffered a real loss in the passing of Dr Tidd. Service will be held Saturday afternoon [3-14] at the family home in Clarksville. Rev H Nagle, pastor of Clarksville Presbyterian Church will officiate. The body will be placed in Mercer maus & later interred in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
