BOOK---Tidds of Ohio by Howard H Tidd; Pg-118 lists John (@1842-18 Mar 1876); wed Abigail Basquin Wintersteen; they had a baby; she died as a child; John & family moved to Kansas ENLISTMENT--CIVIL WAR: John W Tidd Enlisted on 27 Apr 1864 as a Private at the age of 22; He joined Company G, 171st Infantry Regiment Ohio on 5 May 1864; Mustered Out Company G, 171st Infantry Regiment Ohio on 20 Aug 1864 at Johnson's Island, Sandusky, OH.
