During the Civil War, William Edward Burns served as a scout in the Missouri Union Cavalry Company B; Regiment 12 Mo. Cav; Enlistment Jul 1862; Discharge Sep 1865 He and his wife Liza had 10 children. In addition to the children linked below there was Stanley Burton Burns and Arthur Jackson Burns. William died from TB. Two years later his wife Liza also died from TB.
