OBITUARY Joplin Globe Monday, 4 Dec 1967 Page 2 FLORENCE DOWNING 79 YEARS OLD, DIES Mrs. Florence Downing, 79 years old, resident of Elmhurst died at 12:25 O'Clock Sunday Morning. She was born December 15, 1887, at Tiff City, MO., and had resided in Joplin for the past 50 years. She was a member of the Baptist Church. Surviving are a son, Roy Downing, Jr., Lodi, N.J.; and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 o'clock Tuesday morning in the Parker chapel. The Rev. Edward Baker will officiate. Burial will be Osborne Memorial Cemetery.
