VICTORIA - Darwin J. Marek passed away on July 4, 2009. Darwin was born in Granger on Oct. 25, 1937. Darwin graduated from A&M at Kingsville in 1961. He worked his entire career at Baker Hughes in Corpus Christi, Victoria and Houston. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Lois Marek. Darwin is survived by his wife of 47 years, Lila Marek; daughters, Jessica White and her husband Chance White, Alicia Akin and her husband Todd Akin; granddaughter, Mackenzie Akin; sisters, Louise Thompson and Evelyn Lane.
