Born in Novy Klicov, Bohemia --( a village in the region of the current Czech Republic, between Pilžen & Domažlice ); Tomas was the second of eight children { three sons & five daughters } born to Henry & Mary (Mleziva) Ledvina. Tomas immigrated to America with his parents & two brothers, arriving aboard the SS Coriolan on 22 September 1855. On 1 May 1876, Tomas married Antonia ("Tonie") Jicha in West Kewaunee (Township), WI; he was age 26, she was 18. Born in Bohemia/Czech Republic, she was one of nine children { five sons & four daughters } born to Albert & Rose Jicha. CHILDREN: -o- Susan (1878-1880) -o- John (1880-1880) -o- Anna K. ["Annie"] (1882-1964) -o- Mathias George ["Mike"] (1885-1959) -o- Joseph A. (1886-1938) -o- John J. (1889-1964) -o- Wenzel ["James"] (1891-1969) -o- BabyGirl (1894-1894) -o- George G. (1897-1949) A hardworking, successful family farmer in Montpelier ( Township ); by 1895 Tomas owned 180 acres just north of Pilsen, WI. A father of nine, Tomas died at age 65.
