Bio

Born in Novy Klicov, Bohemia --( in the region of the current Czech Republic, between Pilžen & Domažlice ); "Jan" was the third of eight children { four sons & four daughters } born to Henry & Mary (Mleziva) Ledvina. He came to America with his parents in 1855. On 1 June 1892, "Jan" married Mary Rezacek at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Pilsen, WI; she was age 25, he was 39. Born in Franklin (Township) WI; Mary was the second of eleven children { six sons & five daughters } born to Joseph & Catherina (Hana) Rezacek. CHILDREN: -o- Joseph Michael (1893-1986) -o- Anna Mary (1895-1987) -o- Mary Anna (1897-1979) A hardworking, successful family farmer, "Jan" died of stomach cancer at age 66.
