Bio

Elmer Vern Cover of 902 north Colorado, a resident of Hastings for the past 16 years, died late Wednesday at the Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital at the age of 76 years. He had been ill over an extended time. A lifetime Nebraskan, Cover was born April 23, 1882, at Norman. He is survived by his sons and a daughter, Gerald of Hastings, Howard of York, Staff Sergeant Alton Cover of Columbus, O., and Mrs. Gailen King of Trumbull, and four grandchildren. Services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Butler-Volland Chapel with the Rev. R. Hervey Porter of the First Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Blue Valley cemetery. HDT 28 Nov. 1958 pg 11
