Clyde Allen Mortenson long time Yerington resident passed peacefully on March 31, 2012 at St Marys Medical Center in Reno, Nevada. Born in Ogema, Minnesota on October 23, 1940 to Nels and Bessy Mortenson. Clyde was the youngest of 6 children. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Dorothy Mortenson of Yerington, NV.; brother, Nels (Karen) Mortenson of Ogema, Minnesota and two sisters, Meme of Wisconsin, Georgina and Jim of Arizona; five children, Gregg and Patti Mortenson of California; Staci Skalla Ekberg (Jerry) of Longmont, Colorado; Shami Skalla of California; Sean (Karen) Skalla of Westminister, CO.;seven grandchildren, Kayla Fray-Skalla of Reno, NV.; Jerald Zapponi of Cheyenne, WO.; Michael Moody of Payson, AZ.; Kenny Fray-Skalla of Yerington, NV.;Alex, Lauren and Nicole Skalla from Colorado.They were the love of his life A Celebration of Clyde's life will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday , April 7, 2012 at Casino West Convention Center in Yerington.
