Mrs. Powell, a former Greenville resident, was born Feb. 8, 1886 in Winnsboro, Texas, and was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Byrd Allen. Rev. Harryman and Rev. Lynn will conduct the services. Powell Funeral services were held at 2:30 o’clock this afternoon at Wolfe City for Mrs. O.M. Powell, who died Tuesday at her home in Wolfe City after an illness of several weeks. Rev. Harriman and Rev. Lynn, both of Wolfe City, conducted the services and burial was in East Mount cemetery. Katherine Amy Powell, a former Greenville resident of 16 years, was born in Winnsboro Feb. 8, 1886, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Byrd Allen. She is survived by her husband, O.M. Powell, and these children: Mabrie Joy Powell, a WAVE in U.S. Navy stationed in Oakland, Calif.; J.D. Ramsey, Dallas; Mrs. J.B. Read, Lenorah Texas; Victor Roper, chief pharmacist stationed in the South Pacific; Mrs. Margaret Houser, of Greenville; A.W. Powell, Oklahoma City; F.E. Powell, Dallas; Mrs. G.Y. Coker, Merit; Mrs. R.R. Ramsey, Dallas, and three brothers and sisters.
