Herald Coaster, January 2, 2000: Funeral services for Martha M. Polak Grigar, 92, of Richmond, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 3, at St. Michael Catholic Church in Needville, with interment following at St. Michael Cemetery in Needville. Father James Ramsey will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Robert Grigar, Brad Bernshausen, Mike Wehring, Donald Bradford, Jeff Bradford, Carl Tullos Jr., Anthony Hensley, and Lee Denny Morgan. Friends may call after 5 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 2, at the Davis Chapel, 9302 Church Street in Needville. A rosary service will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 2, at the Davis Chapel in Needville. Mrs. Grigar was born July 13, 1907 in Wallis. She passed away Dec. 30, 1999 in Richmond. She was preceded in death by her huband, Kenneth Grigar; parents, Frank Sr. and Victoria Polak; daughter, Irene Grigar Bradford; sister, Mary Hybner; and her brothers, Raymond, Ed, and Charlie Polak. She is survived by a son, Leonard Grigar and his wife, Donna, of Sugar Land; a daughter, Evelyn Bernshausen and her husband, George Henry, of Rosenberg; son-in-law, O.C. Bradford of Guy; a brother, Frank Polak Jr. and his wife, Ann, of Houston; a sister, Annie Schiller of Wallis; sister-in-law, Georgia Polak of Needville; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg. (281) 341-8800.
