Fort Bend Herald, February 21, 2008: Annie Polak Schiller, 88, of Wallis, Texas, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2008, at Triumph Hospital in Sugar Land. She was born on May 12, 1919, in Wallis to Frank and Victoria Macha Polak. Annie was preceded in death by husband, Robert Schiller; parents, Frank and Victoria Macha Polak; sisters, Martha Grigar and Mary Nesvadba Hybner; and brothers, Charlie, Ed and Raymond Polak. Annie is survived by her twin brother, Frank Polak, Jr. of Houston; sisters-in-law, Louise Schiller Rejsek and Alma Schiller; nieces, Dolores Gerken, Linda Engle, Beatrice Lehman, Evelyn Bernshausen, Annette Schmidt, Carolyn Pope, and Janice Koym; nephews, Leonard Grigar, Milton, Daniel, Gene and Jimmy Polak; along with numerous other relatives and friends. Annie was a member of Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Wallis, Catholic Daughters and KJZT. She loved her animals, enjoyed playing dominoes, visiting with friends and relatives and attending all the area bazaars. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, 2008, at Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Wallis with entombment at Guardian Angel Mausoleum in Wallis. Visitation is from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 21 at Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Wallis with a rosary recited at 7 p.m. Pallbearers are Milton, Daniel and Jimmy Polak, Bill Schmidt, Tracy Gerken and Donald Bradford. Honorary pallbearers are Gene Polak, Leonard Grigar and O.C. Bradford. For those wishing, memorial contributions in Annie's name may be made to Guardian Angel Catholic Church Memorial Fund. Arrangements are under the direction of Knesek and Sons Funeral Home in Wallis, 979-478-6311.
