Herald Coaster, August 22, 2003: Funeral services for Viola V. Jezek, age 79, of Needville, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 23, 2003 at St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, 9122 Church St. in Needville, with burial to follow in the Needville Public Cemetery. The Rev. Allan Anderson will officiate. Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Jezek, Patrick Jezek, David Matejka, Randy Wiggins, John Friedmann, and Richard Krampota. Visitation is from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 22, 2003 at the Garmany & Carden Funeral Chapel in Needville. Mrs. Jezek passed away Wednesday evening at Rosenberg Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born June 6, 1924 in Richmond to parents, Anton and Rosie Orsak Lukasik. She farmed with her husband, Leonard, for many years. She was a member of St. Paul's Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her son, Larry Jezek and wife Doris, of Needville; daughter, Margaret Matejka and husband, Marvin Edward, of Damon; six grandchildren; three great-granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews. Her husband, Leonard Jezek, preceded her in death Oct. 15, 1993. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Annie Raska, Pauline Uherek, Rosie Mazac, Helen Krampota; and brothers, Richard and Anton Lukasik.
