Herald Coaster, October 17, 1993: Funeral services for Leonard R.C. Jezek, 74, of Needville, are scheduled 2 p.m. Sunday at St. Paul's Presbyterian Church in Needville. The Rev. Richard Avery will officiate, with burial at the Needville Public Cemetery. Mr. Jezek died Oct. 15 at Leisure Lodge Convalescent Center. He was born Sept. 17, 1919 in Fairchilds. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of St. Paul's Presbyterian Church. Survivors include his wife, Viola Jezek of Needville; a son, Larry Gene Jezek of Needville; a daughter, Margaret Matejka of Damon; a sister, Clara Mazac of Damon; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to St. Paul's Presbyterian Church. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Saturday at Garmany & Carden Funeral Home in Needville. Services are under the direction of Garmany & Carden Funeral Directors in Needville.
