Bio

Herald Coaster, May 16, 1963: Funeral services for Mrs. John F. Raesner, 85, of Needville, were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Methodist church in Needville. Mrs. Raesner passed away in the Fort Bend Nursing Home May 9. She was a charter member of the Needville Methodist Church. Mrs. Raesner is survived by three sons, Louis Raesner of Houston, and Homer and Edward of Needville; one daughter, Mrs. Ella Bacica of West Columbia; eight grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Ida Raschke of Houston; and five brothers, Charlie Peterson of Rio Grande Valley, Albert Peterson of Napa, Calif., Edward Peterson of Beeville, and Adolph Peterson and Ernest Peterson of Lexington. Burial was in the Needville Public Cemetery, with Rev. D. Townes Windham officiating. Funeral services were under the direction of Garmany and Co. Funeral Directors. Pallbearers were Oscar Raesner Jr., Roy Foley, Alton Raesner, Clyde Raesner, Leroy Bacica, and Marvin Lee Raesner.
