Herald Coaster, April 12, 1993: Funeral services for Alton Homer Raesner, 65, of Needville, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday at Garmany & Carden Chapel in Needville. Officiating will be the Rev. David Foster. Burial will be in the Needville Public Cemetery. Mr. Raesner died Friday, April 9, at Polly Ryon Memorial Hospital in Richmond. Survivors include four sons, Ricky Raesner and wife, Wendy, of Needville, Daryl Raesner and wife, Rita, of Needville, Larry Raesner of Needville, and Michael Raesner and wife, Elaine, of Needville; mother, Sophie Zwahr Raesner McDougle of Needville; brother, Clyde Raesner and wife, Peggy, of Guy; two grandsons, Chad and Cole Raesner of Needville; three granddaughters, Ashley, Brooke, and Mandi Raesner of Needville; and two nephews, Greg and Kyle Raesner of Needville. He was preceded in death by his father, Homer August Raesner. The family suggests memorials be made to the United Methodist Church in Needville. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Monday at Garmany & Carden Funeral Home in Needville.
