Elizabeth Herron was born 14 January 1897 in Texas to Squire Andrew and Margaret Ellen Burkhart Herron. She married John Reuben Thomas 1 February 1920, and they had seven children named John Lavern, Myrtle Ruth, Billy Wayne, Troy Gene, Ira G., Clay E., and Doris Nell Thomas. Elizabeth Herron died 4 October 1990 in Tarrant County, Texas and was buried in the Nelta Cemetery in Hopkins County, Texas.
