Bio
George W. McCormick passed away Nov. 20 at his home east of Glendo, Wyoming. Death was due to a heart attack. He was the son of George W. McCormick, Sr. and Nellie Ingalsbe McCormick. In 1898 the family moved to Nebraska and after several moves within that state, in 1908 they settled south of Harrison in Sioux County. He lived there until 1927 when he came to Wyoming and lived south of Lusk for several years. In 1930 he located at Glendo, Wyoming and devoted himself to farming and ranching. On May 22, 1937 he was married to Laura A. Moses and to this union were born two sons, George Robert and James C. McCormick. Besides his wife and two sons, he is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Hattie Bryant of Torrington, Mrs. Nellie Martin of Pavillion, Mrs. Esther Ryder of Douglas; three brothers, Roy McCormick of Glendo, Ralph McCormick of Lusk, Addison McCormick of LaTour, Missouri; and many other relatives and friends.
