Bio

Huey O. Brister (Sunday, August 1, 1965, page - 6) DeRidder - Funeral services for Huey O. Brister, 67, will be at 2 p.m., today in the Beauregard Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Larsen Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Drakes Fork Cemetery. Mr. Brister died at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Beauregard Memorial Baptist Hospital after a prolonged illness. He had lived in DeRidder for the past 20 years and was a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lizzie Gill Brister, DeRidder; four sons, Morris, Erthas, and Pete Brister, all of DeRidder, and Athus Brister, Beaumont, Tex.; one daughter, Mrs. Shirley Wallett, DeRidder; two brothers, Harrison Brister, Pitkin; and Luke Brister, DeRidder; and 10 grandchildren.
