Mr. Brister died at 8:35 p.m. Sunday, July 29, 2001, in the Leesville hospital. Beaumont Enterprise, The (TX) - August 1, 2001 Deceased Name: Eartes Huey Brister Eartes Huey Brister, 57, of Leesville, La., died July 29, 2001, at Byrd Memorial Hospital in Leesville. Funeral will be at 3 p.m. today at Hixson Funeral Home in DeRidder, La., with burial at Whitaker Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 8 a.m. today at the funeral home. A native of Pitkin , La., he lived in the Leesville area most of his life and was a City of DeRidder water department employee. Survivors include daughters, Anna Doris Furlow, Sissy Pruette, Paula Clark and Bretta Bailey, all of DeRidder; sons, Tom Brister of Bundick, La., Marchel Brister of Rosepine, La., Curtis Brister and Carl Brister, both of DeRidder, and Jamie Brister of Sulphur, La.; brother, Pete Brister of DeRidder; 27 grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter Contributor: Jean plummer (46863095)
