Alvin was truly a gentle giant. He was big in size and had a heart just as large. He could also cook the best roast you ever tasted. FALLON - Alvin Anderson, 78, died Thursday in a Reno hospital. A native of Drummond, Wisconsin, he was born July 14, 1907 and was a longtime Silver Peak and Tonaph, Nevada resident before moving to Texas and Fallon. Anderson was a retired truck driver and an Army veteran of World War II. Alvin leaves his widow Erin of Fallon; stepson Wymond of Denver; daughter Charlotte Anderson of Arlington, Texas; sister Inga Stewart of Big Pine, Calif.; and three grandchildren. Parents Gilbert Anderson (1876-1963) & Gina Olsen (1874-1975) married 1902 Norway – 3 known children: Matilda (1903-1945) Inga (1904-2000) Alvin (1907-1986) Alvin & Eleanor Bell (1912-1984) married April 16, 1932 in Tonopah – divorced by 1940 Alvin & Erin Gerrish (1916-2002) married 1950– one known child: Charlotte (1953-)
