Bio
Father John Thogmartin Mother Nancy Thogmartin Rhoda (AKA Roda) apparently remained Single all her life living with her parents and then with her 10 brothers and sisters. Some Census indicate she could neither read nor write. One says she could do both. One says she could read but not write. She is not found in the 1920 Missouri Census. She died at State Hospital No 5 In St. Joseph, Missouri from Cancer of the Face. Find-a Grave merged this with another. The following does not fit the above Rhoda. She wasn't the mother of the listed children. Some other time there was a Rhoda Ferguson who married a Joseph Throgmartin. Courtesy of Louise Taraba ∼ She was born about 1796 in Tennessee and married Joseph Thogmartin about 1820/21 in Tennesse. She died after 1850 in Missouri. They were parents of ten known children: John, Sarah, Mary, Robert, Katherine, William, Harriett, Thomas, Unknown Son, and James. Some say Sarah is not a daughter. (lt)
