Bio

Daughter of Samuel and Sarah (Campbell) Petree. She married John H. Thogmatin on August 13, 1840 in Ray County, Missouri. They settled in Mercer County, Missouri, where they farmed. They were parents of eleven children: Robert, Mary, Rachel E., Rhoda, Sarah, Emily, Martha, David, Oliver, John, and Eli. A younger sister, Mary Petree, married Robert Thogmartin, a younger brother of her husband. (lt)
