Bio

Alvin was born to George Benjamin and Lula Pearce. They were divorced. His mother remarried to William W. Rice September 19, 1924, in Council Bluffs, Pottawattamie, Iowa. Alvin was adopted by Herman and Martha (Lemke) Luedtke. Alvin married Doris Hermine Schlake May 11, 1941,in Wayne County, Nebraska. Alvin was a Navy seaman 1st class in World War II. He left Marshall Islands, on the Lucius Q C Lamar ship arriving September 13, 1945, in San Francisco, California. He was a farmer. In 1951, Alvin's marriage ended in divorce.
