Service were held Tuesday morning at St. Paul's Catholic Church In Smithville for Julius Vinklarek. Julius was a mechanic at Miller Motor Company from 1967 until April 1970 when he moved to his mother's home at 1495 McSweeney in Smithville due to his health. He had developed a rare nerve disease. For the past several months one of his brothers has been his nurse. He died Saturday night at 11:30, August 21, at the VA Hospital in Temple, where he was taken some 12 hours earlier. Julius was born June 9,1928, in Cistern, Texas. He served In the army from November 1950 until October 1952. He was a devout Catholic. Officiating at the Mass Tuesday were Rev. Clyde Holtman of Smithville and Msgr. Edmund Bily of Cistern. Survivors are his mother, Mrs. Annie Vinklarek; four brothers, Vencll of Flatonia, Louis of El Campo, Henry and Tommy of Smithville; three sisters, Mrs. Hattie Marburger of Cistern, Mrs. Evelyn Hajdek of Smithville, and Mrs. Lexie Pavlicek of Moulton; nieces and nephew; other relatives and many friends. Attending the rosary Monday were Steve Haczynski, Presly Schoenemann, and Ivan Minks, Arthur Miller, Johnny Norvllle, Doyle Shafer and Arlan Krejci attended the Mass Tuesday.
