Henry Penix Pilgrim, 71, of Mineral Wells, died at his residence on June 23, 2003. He was born Aug. 20, 1921, in Mineral Wells to Amos and Maye Bennett Pilgrim. He married Lucille Armstrong on Nov. 13, 1942, in Mineral Wells and served in the Army Air Corps, 39th Engineering Squadron. He retired in 1982 from Texas Power and Light after 28 years. Service is 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 25, at Central United Methodist Church with Rev. Barry Holmes and Rev. Louis Augustine III officiating. Burial will be in the Sturdivant Cemetery. Visitation will be at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 24. memorials may be made to Central United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Lucille Pilgrim of Mineral Wells; sons and daughters-in-law, Carrol Wayne and Pat Pilgrim of Lindale, Donald and Linda Pilgrim of Peaster, and Terry and Natalie Pilgrim of Pineland; daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia Pilgrim of Phoeniz, Ariz., and Nita and Ray Pennington of Palo Pinto; grandchildren, Michael and Jodi Pilgrim, Brent and Nicole Pilgrim, Anne and Roy Martinez, Carson and Jackie Pilgrim, Cody Pilgrim, Chase Pilgrim, Kiel Pilgrim, Ashleigh Pilgrim, Calie Pilgrim, Matt Pennington, Mark and Ashley Pennington; two great-grandchildren; brothers, Werner Pilgrim of Fort Worth and Bennet Pilgrim of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and sisters, Roberta Tanner of Mineral Wells and Rachel Heath of Fort Worth.
