Alice Faye "Tot" Morris, age 95, died Wednesday, February 22, 2012 in Gunter. Services will be at 2:00PM Saturday, February 25, 2012 in Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Stephen Ball officiating . Burial will be in Childress Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Johnson Funeral Home on friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00PM. Alice Faye was born October 5, 1916 in Childress County to Walter Henry and Ella Mitchell Kindle. She attended school in Lonnie Olympus until moving to Childress where she then attended Childress High. She married Melborn Morris November 2, 1935 in Childress County. Not only was Tot work as a homemaker, she helped Melborn with the family farm. Tot was a nurturing person who cared for her younger sisters and brothers, and others as well. She held membership in the Lonnie Baptist Church and united with Calvary Baptist after moving to Childress. She is preceded in death by her husband, Melborn, son-in-law, Ira Yancy, and granddaughter, Cindy Stephens.
