Robert "Bob" Murrell, 70, of Mitchell, Ne., in Scotts Bluff County died surrounded by his family at his home Saturday, August 16, 2008 due to terminal illness. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, August 21, 2008 at Jones Mortuary in Mitchell with Rev. Gene Murrell officiating. A memorial has been established in care of the family. Bob was born January 22, 1938 in Higginsville, Mo., in Lafayette County to Walter and Adah (Short) Murrell. He enlisted in the Marines while a teenager. He married Annetta J. Houser on June 30, 1960 in Mitchell. They had four children, Eugene, Stanley (Robbie), Katherine and Carolyn. Bob had owned and operated his own plumbing and heating business "Bob's Plumbing" for the last 23 years. Bob is survived by his wife Annetta of Mitchell, Ne., children Gene (Vona) Murrell of Rochester, MN., Stanley (Robbie) (Glennie) Murrell of Mitchell, Kathy (Kirk) Deal of Bayard, Ne., and Carolyn (Carlo) Trafficante of Youngstown, OH; grandchildren Adam, Ashley, and Amber of Minnesota; Cassie Joe of Nebraska, Kerrie, Lindsey (Fred) and Kalei of Ohio; great grandchildren Braden Deal of Nebraska and Leigha Kay (Sefchik) Valentine of Ohio; brothers and sisters Margaret, Bee, Charles, Lawrence and Jody and numerous nieces and nephews. His parents Walter Murrell and Adah Ayers, stepfather Stanley Ayers, Brother Delmer Murrell, stepsister Rosie Ayres and in-laws Bill and Nina Houser preceded him in death. Index August 20, 2008
