Bio

Andrew was the son of Rachel Ashworth and Solomon Hudiburgh. He was born in Knox County, Tennessee but the family moved to Overton County, Tennessee when he was 2 years old. The family lived in Overton & Hardin counties and would move to Mississippi between 1840 to 1850. Andrew would marry Mary Melton Cole around 1844 in Mississippi. They would have three children there: Rachael, Samuel and Mary C. They then moved to Texas about 1855. Eight more children would be born in Texas. Upon his death in 1871, Andrew Lee was the largest landholder and tax payer in Angelina County. He died before his parents; mother Rachel died in 1873 and Solomon in 1876, both in Hardin County, Tennessee. There are no headstones in this cemetery for Andrew or his wife.
