married: Mrs. Nannie (Jones) Andrews. Son of James Carlisle Cooper and Emmarinthy Caroline Kinzer.Beloved brother to; John Thomas Cooper,Albert Clark Cooper,James H. Cooper,George Lee Cooper,Robert Burns Cooper,Annie Byrd Cooper Burton,and Callie Dora Cooper Chandler. W.D. Cooper served a mayor of Mt. Pleasant, Tn 1905-06.He had been a farmer with his father, and later operated a sawmill near Summertown. He has an interest in a stone mill which broght him financial loss, and he truned his interest to phosphate, shipping the first phosphate from Mt. Pleasant in 1897, which he mined from the site of his lumberyard.
