Frank James Cemper Jr was born in Franklin Township, Butler County, Nebraska, USA, son of Frank Cemper (1883-1975) and Antonia (Tony) Fendrich (1887-1970). SOURCE: The Columbus Telegram newspaper, Columbus, Platte County, Nebraska, USA. Wednesday, October 27, 1971. Cemper services held at Shelby SHELBY—Funeral services for Frank J. Cemper were conducted at 10 a.m. Oct. 20 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Shelby. Fr. Anthony Trausch officiated, and burial was in the Shelby Cemetery. Mr. Cemper died unexpectedly Oct. 17. He had been hospitalized a week at Behlen Memorial Hospital in Columbus after a farm accident, but had returned home Oct. 16. Born near David City in the Appleton community, Mr. Cemper attended school there and was baptized and confirmed in the Appleton church. On Jan 15, 1929, he was married to Clara DeWispelare at St. Francis Catholic Church, Center. To this union were born two sons, Bernard of Columbus and George of Shelby. He is also survived by his wife; father, Frank Cemper Sr., David City; one brother, Tony of David City; and three sisters, Mrs. George (Alice) Svobota of Rising City, Mrs. Mary Kovar and Mrs. Marcel (Mildred) Kovar of David City; and two granddaughters, Kathy and Delores Cemper. He was preceded in death by his mother, a brother, Edward, and a granddaughter, Debbie Cemper.
