Bio

Mary Joyce Pitts, 79, of Pleasant Grove passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, January 2, 2012. Joyce was born July 29, 1932 in Provo to Harold O. and Florence Martell Simons. She married Ralph Pitts on March 2, 1951 in Reno, Nevada. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. Joyce is survived by her husband Ralph of Pleasant Grove; three children: Sharleen (Glenn) Hargreaves, Herriman; Rebecca (Ron) Harris, Orem and Dale (Ruth) Pitts, Pleasant Grove; 16 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren; four siblings: Carolyn Boyack, Quay Simons, Harold Simons and Jerald Simons. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 6, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Battle Creek Fourth Ward Chapel 1105 East 200 South, Pleasant Grove where family and friends may attend a viewing from 9:30-10:45 a.m. Interment will be in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery under the direction of Olpin Family Mortuary, Pleasant Grove.
