Bio

Anna June Simons Taylor, 77, passed away June 22, 2006. She was born at home in Provo, Ut, June 1, 1929, the first of seven children to Florence Martell and Harold Orrawell Simons. She was educated in the Spanish Fork school system and married Kenneth Lee Taylor in the Salt Lake LDS Temple April 28, 1948. Together they had six children: Laura, Earl, Clark, Neil, Ann and Ray. Dad passed February 12, 2001. Mom's life will be remembered as one of service to her family, her faith, and her community. She served in numerous church callings, including: Relief Society President, Young Women President, Sunday School and Primary teaching positions, and the wife of the Bishop. She was also involved in the PTA and held several civic positions, mostly without pay and mostly without complaint. Mom loved music and sang often with Dad and various groups throughout her life. She loved to sew, cook, and garden. Most of all she loved her kids and grandkids. Mom is survived by her six children: Laura Bridges of Portland, OR; Earl (Sheri) Taylor of Santaquin, UT; Clark (Julie) Taylor or Spanish Fork, UT; Neil (Susan) Taylor of Spanish Fork, UT; Ann (Layne) Elmer of Birdseye, UT; Ray (Natalie) Taylor of Spanish Fork, UT; 24 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by four brothers and two sisters: Morris (Luan) Simons; Joyce (Ralph) Pitts; Carolyn (Russell) Boyack; Quayl (Carol) Simons; Harold (Peggy) Simons; and Jarold (Nancy) Simons. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 29, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the Spanish Fork Stake Center, 1010 East 200 South, Spanish Fork. A viewing will be held Wednesday, June 28, 2006 from 6-8 p.m. at Walker Mortuary, 187 South Main Street, and from 9:45-10:45 prior to the services at the church. Interment will be in the Spanish Fork City Cemetery.
