Bio

In the 1900 census, Jasper and his family were living in Loudon Twp., Carroll Co., Ohio. Jasper was listed as age 46 (widow) born October 1853 in Ohio, his children listed were; Sarah J. age 21, Grace O. age 16 and Fred H. age 11, all born in Ohio. His death notice in the Carroll Chronicle, Carrollton, Ohio, Friday, June 21, 1918. Jasper Slates of Loudon Twp. died suddenly last week. Burial was made on Thursday. He was about sixty years of age, was twice married. A widow, three children, two brothers and a sister survive.
