------------------------- Stazie Lottie Zila, born June 27, 1898 in Madison county, passed away Sunday evening August 13, 1944 in a Norfolk hospital after undergoing a major operation the week before. When she was two years old, she, with her parents moved to Pierce county and from there to Knox county, when she as 12. On February 20, 1916, she was married to Anton Zila. They lived south of Verdigre. Their sons are Alvin F., at home, Leonard A, with the armed forces in Texas and Vernon with the naval forces at Kansas. Her husband and sons survive her. ...The Verdigre Eagle 17 August 1944
