THE ABILENE REPORTER NEWS WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 9, 1974 COLORADO CITY ~~ Dewey Admiral Turner, 60, a farmer died Monday after a long illness. Services will be at 2:30 Wednesday at the Kiker-Seale Chapel. The Reverend Fred Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Colorado City Cemetery. Mr. Turner was born April 27, 1913 in Oklahoma and came to Colorado City in 1934. He was a veteran of World War II. He married Vicci Hyland July 14, 1945, in Swindon, England. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Larry Johnson of Odessa, Elizabeth and Bridget, both of the home; three sons, David Turner of Lubbock, Dean Turner and Colin Turner; four sisters, Mrs. Bobby Vaught of Big Spring, Mrs. George Boley of Sweetwater, Mrs. Bill Turley and Mrs. Ralph Phillips both of Odessa; five brothers, Herman Turner of Sweetwater, John Turner of Big Spring, Walter Turner of Midland and Travis Turner of Colorado City and Wendell Turner of Corpus Christi; and three grandchildren.
