GEORGE F. JACKSON SR., 83, of Colorado Springs died Aug. 24, 1992, at a local hospital. He had been a printer, a chef at The Broadmoor and an A-1 Truck Line operator. He also had been a state representative and senator for Colorado. Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. today at Swan-Law Funeral Home Chapel, 501 N. Cascade Ave. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel, 3825 Airport Road, with the Rev. Harold Shoemaker officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Swan-Law is handling arrangements. Mr. Jackson was born Sept. 2, 1908, in New York City to Jessee and Beatrice M. (Turner) Jackson. He had lived in Colorado Springs since 1912 and was a member of the Elks Club. He also was the state and national president, as well as a life member, of the Isaac Walton League. Mr. Jackson was married July 13, 1934, in Castle Rock to Ruby Styskal, who survives. He also is survived by three sons, Harold L. of Caldwell, Ind., George F. Jr. of Holland, Ohio, and William of Tightwad, Mo.; four brothers; three sisters; 29 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren. He had two brothers and a sister, who are deceased.
