Other children are Vivien Lovell Thaisen 1905-1949 and Ernest Benjamin Lovell 1914-1983 Ukiah Daily Journal 25 Mar 1960 Charles Lovell who passed away last Sunday at the Willits hospital after a long illness, was buried here Wednesday with the Masonic funeral rites performed at the temple. Mrs Alta English played the piano accompaniment to Abide With Me, sung by Charles Gray and Bud Maxwell. Surviving members of Mr Lovell's family were his widow, Mrs Beatrice Lovell, daughters Dallas Winters and Clara Jean Finfrock, son Hiney Lovell, step daughter Margaret Williamson and step son Rev Rodger Perkins; brother Mage Lovell, nephews Pab, Byron, Darrell and Sylvan English and James Durnford; nieces Mrs Lucille Waldron and Mrs Elizabeth Burke; 8 grandchildren. Charles Lovell was born in Round Valley in 1882 and would have had his 78th birthday this week. He had lived here all his life and was, at various times, blacksmith, constable, deputy sheriff and mortician. In tribute to him the funeral arrangements were handled by 3 morticians, Eversole and Zimmerman of Ukiah and Anker of Willits. From a family member Charlie was a great cook and often in charge of civic and family dinners.
