Again we are called upon to mourn the death of a familiar friend and neighbor. After a brief illness, William Frederick Lovell passed away at the home of his father, Harry S Lovell, on Tuesday morning at 11:40. He was a member of one of the large sized old pioneer families. A mother, four brothers and two sisters have preceded him to the great beyond. Surviving to mourn his life are an aged father; two brothers, Charles and Maybert, the latter a resident of Santa Maria; two sisters, Mrs L B English of Covelo, and Mrs Angela Bullerdieck of San Francisco; a daughter, Theresa Mayfield of San Francisco and a son, Walter of Covelo. Will was a native son of Covelo and spent nearly his entire life in Covelo. He was born March 17, 1886. The genial St Patrick bestowed upon him many of the gifts of the patron saint of Ireland. His innate courtesy, his cheerful smile, and his happy go lucky disposition brought cheer to all who knew him. He was a carpenter by trade, a number of attractive homes in the valley bearing testimony to his handicraft. His last piece of work, still incomplete, was the new undertaking parlor, whose lines of beauty as they gradually took shape were bringing satisfaction to lovers of architecture.
